{gun}-0/1/2), cut by tools/cut_guns.py from the library’s 96 kHz takes and played as recorded: the three shots of each gun with the quietest sharp re-attack after the first 40 ms, cut 4 ms before the report and run the length of the tail (2.5 s for the rifles, 2 s for the pistols and the carbine, 1.2–1.5 s for the automatics), the last 0.25 s faded out, at the library’s own level (only turned down where a peak would pass −1 dBFS), 44.1 kHz Ogg Vorbis. garand-last is the M1 Garand file’s last shot, the clip’s ping ringing after it, cut the same way and played on the round that empties the rifle: M1 Garand → garand (also the M1C), M1903 Springfield → springfield (also the Lee-Enfield No.4, No.4 (T) and No.5, pitched up), Kar98k → kar98k (also the Zf 39), Gewehr 43 → g43 (also the Zf 4), M1 Carbine → carbine, M1918 BAR → bar (also the Bren), Thompson → thompson, M3 Grease Gun → m3 (also the Sten), MP 40 → mp40 (also the StG 44, pitched down), M1919 Browning → m1919, Colt M1911A1 → colt (also the Enfield No.2 revolver and the Welrod), Luger → luger, Walther P38 → p38. The MG 42 (the library has only its bursts) and the three SMGs (whose single-shot takes carry three or four designed mechanism hits after the report) are cut from the library’s auto bursts instead: each take splices a burst’s first round, found by its low end so the bolt’s click before it is left out, with an 8 ms crossfade into the tail after the burst’s last round; the MG 34 plays the MG 42 pitched down. The library has no Lee-Enfield, Bren, Sten, Webley, StG 44 or MG 34.boom-0/1/2 — Federico Soler, Effective Trailer Booms Vol. 2 (_011, _075, _214), 2.2 s from the onset, only its low thump kept (28–320 Hz) and faded out exponentially from 0.12 s, played under the existing crack and blast. Trimmed, resampled to 44.1kHz, encoded to Ogg Vorbis.gunreload1.wav and shotguncock.wav → reload/bolt, encoded to Ogg. Recorded airsoft handling foley, not authentic WWII mechanisms; a latch's thunk (bolt-lock, below) is layered under the end of the bolt.bfh1_glass_breaking_01.ogg, _03 and _06, unchanged files renamed glass-0/1/2. Recorded glass breaking, used for shattering window panes.cannon_01.ogg and cannon_03.ogg, unchanged files renamed explosion-a/b. The metal and water steps are four single steps cut from the Freesound previews at their onsets. Every surface is peak-levelled to the takes it replaces; a note of each source sits in its folder. The gravel variants (steps/gravel/0–3, unchanged) are by Ali_6868, CC0, from Gravel Footsteps: on open dry ground (fields, meadows, farm tracks) each step plays a grass take over a quieter gravel take, paired and levelled afresh every step; the water takes are kept for mud in the rain.stream, along the creek.crickets_1.mp3 → crickets, raised 10 dB.dog_barking_mono.wav → dog, raised 5 dB.voice/pain-0…9, voice/death-0…9, all armies): each take one cry cut from its source, below 120 Hz cut, its tail trimmed, peak-normalised to −2 dB with short fades, from the Freesound previews, all CC0.
